...Jordan - 2022 New Series Full Set Of Five Notes

المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية
(The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan)

Central Bank of Jordan
Currency - Dinar (JOD)

Below is a full set of dinars banknotes released from 2022 to 2023, but all dated 2022. I believe this is the 6th series of Jordanian dinars since 1949, even though the designs on the front are similar to the 2002 series but the backs are (all) completely new. The full set comprises five notes, with the 50 dinars still the largest denomination issued.

The country Jordan is relatively a poor country, if you compare to their neighbours like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or the UAE, but it's dinar currency is the fourth strongest in the world. Its economy is among the smallest in the Middle East, due to lack of natural resources like water and oil, and for that reason, the government is heavily reliant on foreign assistance. In terms of wealth (GDP per capita), Jordan is ranked 166th in the world, even poorer than countries like Sri Lanka (108th) or Bhutan (109th) or Dominica (110th).
