Asia here is only referred to Southern Asia and the rest of Western (Middle East) and Central Asia. I have separated SouthEast Asia and East Asia with different links here.

many of the banknotes posted here do not need descriptions. the designs are beautiful enough for me to add any more details - a picture is worth a thousand words

.Georgia - 2016 to 2019 New Series of Banknotes

Update 10.04.2020
I have added the final note of 10 Lari. This note was issued in 2019 and is printed with the date 02.10.2019.

Update: 21.04.2018
The theme of the new 5 Lari on the front is still the same, with the portrait of Prince Ivane Javakhishvili (1876-1940) and the Tbilisi State University. Prince Javakhishvili was a writer, historian, publisher and linguist. He was also one of the founding fathers of the Tbilisi State University (1918) and a rector (senior official) of the University from 1919 to 1926. On the back, it features the famous Georgian painter Niko Pirosmani's works - "A Fisherman in a Red Shirt" and "Threshing". Pirosmani was born in 1862 and died in 1918.
