Asia here is only referred to Southern Asia and the rest of Western (Middle East) and Central Asia. I have separated SouthEast Asia and East Asia with different links here.

many of the banknotes posted here do not need descriptions. the designs are beautiful enough for me to add any more details - a picture is worth a thousand words

"no borrowed scans here nor i cut and pasted from other web sites. all notes displaying here are mine"

.Yemen Democratic Republic (South Yemen) - 250 Fils ND1965

This note came from the nd1965-1967 series of 5 notes from 250 mils to 10 dinars. This note was issued under the authority of the South Arabian Currency Authority. It changed its name later to Bank of Yemen. This is the only note that I have in my collection that is related to South Yemen. The two Yemen (North and South) merged on 22.05.1990 and formed the Yemen Arab Republic.

Two Hundred and Fifty Fils, ND1965 P1b
