many of the banknotes posted here do not need descriptions. the designs are beautiful enough for me to add any more details - a picture is worth a thousand words

The top note originally came from the last print of the nd1974-1979 series. The note below has a Pick reference number of P123b. This note was the last series following the fall of the last Shah of Iran. Instead of destroying these notes, the central bank over printed the portrait of the late Shah and added a text on the water mark to the left of the note. No messages or overprints were added to the back of this note.

The remaining notes were all issued between 1982 to 2003, another few odd notes here.
