Asia here is only referred to Southern Asia and the rest of Western (Middle East) and Central Asia. I have separated SouthEast Asia and East Asia with different links here.

many of the banknotes posted here do not need descriptions. the designs are beautiful enough for me to add any more details - a picture is worth a thousand words

"no borrowed scans here nor i cut and pasted from other web sites. all notes displaying here are mine"

.Turkmenistan - 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Commemorative Full Set

Posted here is a complete set of 6 banknotes issued to celebrate the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG). The games were held in Ashgabat, the capital city of Turkmenistan between 17.09.2017 to 27.09.2017. Sixty-two countries from both Asia and Oceania have participated in the games. The AIMAG is the merger between the Asian Indoor Games and Asian Martial Arts Games. Bangkok (Thailand) staged the first Asian Indoor games in 2005 and in 2009 also held the first Asian Martial Arts Games. In 2013, these two major events merged and formed the AIMAG and was held in Incheon, South Korea. In reality, this is the 2nd AIMAG game since it was merged between the two major events. The AIMAG consists of 339 events in 21 sports.

The designs for these commemorative notes are the same as previous issues except the game's logo is added to the front on the right hand side of the notes.
