These are a few notes that I got back in September 2012. Cyprus joint European Union on 01.05.2004. Despite Cyprus being a member of the EU, I have posted their banknotes here under the Asian banknotes site due to its geographic location, just like Turkey and Georgia.
These are the last notes circulating in Cyprus before it switched over to the Euro currency. This series was first released in 1997. I was lucky as I paid almost the exchange rate in getting these notes.
