This 100 Ngultrum was released in 2011 celebrating the marriage between King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Jetsum Pema.
King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck was installed as the King of Bhutan in 2006 when he was still a bachelor. He married Queen Jetsum Pema on 13.10.2011. Queen Jetsum Pema was born on 04.06.1990 in Thimphu Bhutan. Her title in Bhautanese following her marriage is called Druk Gyaltsue, which literally means Dragon Queen.
I have no details about the total quantity issued for this special occasion. Given that this is the marriage of a King, I would assume that many would have issued to celebrate this auspicious occasion.
