.Israel - 5 Lirot 1968 Albert Einstein

These are the only two notes from the 1968 series. I bought these two notes because of the portrait of Albert Einstein. The difference between these two notes is the colour of the serial number printed. It comes in black and red colours. Collecting world famous people is also part of my theme of collection.

We all know that Albert Einstein was a brilliant scientist. He was born in 1879 in Ulm Germany. Ulm is situated about 155 km west of Munich. In 1933, he migrated to the United States and became a US citizen in 1940. He died in 1955, aged 1976, in New Jersey, United States.
